Hi, I'm  Amanda.
I write magical stories for the hopelessly romantic and chronically ill.

Get to know me

I’m one of those lucky people that gets to write for a living. I have a B.A. in Journalism and got my start as a news reporter and music journalist. Nowadays I work in content marketing from my home in Pittsburgh, PA, where I live with my husband and two spoiled cats, Oscar and Squid.

Writing went from my day job to my passion and permanent escape when I found myself suddenly bedbound thanks to a severe case of Lyme disease. I started dreaming up fantastical worlds and creating characters that inspired me to keep trying, and I hope to help others do the same with the stories I tell. You can learn more about my current projects below.

YOUNG ADULT FANTASY ROMANCE

TO BREAK A CURSE

“I’ve heard of other illnesses; of other plagues and curses. At least they kill quickly. They don’t leave people to suffer like this one.” When Claudia’s eyes met his over the fire, they gleamed with a strange hardness. “I can feel myself rotting every damned day, Tobias, from the inside out. I can’t recall a morning in the last month when I woke up and simply felt good.”

“That will change. Once we break the curse—”

“Then what?” Claudia cut in. “Eisley warned you that I’m unlikely to heal. It’s always ‘once we break the curse,’ or ‘once you’re feeling better.’ Will you still want me around, even if I stay sick forever?”

NEW ADULT WESTERN ROMANTASY

THE FOOLS FOUR

Vesper watched until his breathing slowed and he drifted off to sleep or something like it, all the hardness gone out of him at last. Her eye flitted from the small silver hoop in Faraday’s nostril to the faint scar that cut through the graceful curve of his bottom lip. With his face slack and his guard down, he certainly didn’t look like a bloodthirsty outlaw.

He just looked like a boy.

A strange desire ballooned in Vesper’s chest. She was desperate to uncover more of his secrets—about the King of Hells, about the strange power he’d been granted, about his past. Was his mother still alive? Did he know his father? Did he have a confidante like Dillon, to tell all his deepest and darkest thoughts? She’d tried her hardest not to let her curiosity get the best of her, but it ran wild now. Because Raef frustrated her and intrigued her in equal measure.

And she hated it.
